Yes, that's the one. I used to know the identity of both MkIX's that shoot up the German car in Longest Day, but I can only remember MH434 being one of them. I'm sure the other is still flying though.

It was filmed in B&W and the colour version is one of those that has been colourised. I've seen this done to a number of B&W films and I'm not convinced it makes them look any better.

Thanks Andrew. Everything I've read confirms this. It was me who suggested otherwise & my memory is not what it used to be. I could easily have been confusing it with another film.
