Hey everyone.
Have you ever wondered why a husband tends to not listen to the wife in an arguement? Well, I found this article in msn and it surprised me.

Gee, no wonder I don't listen to my mom when she blabbers at me all the time.

This looks like more psychobabble to me. Someone needs to write a paper to stay in grad school, comes up with a theory and gets her masters degree.
I found some truth in the "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" pop psychology that was floating around a few years ago but I think men just want to communicate in concrete terms and women want to communicate in "touchy-feely" terms.
My communications with my male friends are along the lines of sports, politics, computer stuff (mutual hobby) and shared professional interests.
As I recall, when I listened to her, my ex-wife always wanted to tell me about who's having a baby, other office relationships (never about what actually happened on the job), politics (in a bad Sally Struthers way) and she always wanted to watch the crappy TV shows.
