Hi all,

I sort of know in theory how to create a blurred helicopter rotor but it doesn't seem to work! I tried doing it using the Alpha layer to control the transparency but it won't have any of it.

Help!

In gmax or FSDS2, set your part material alpha/opacity to a low number.  Your texture alpha will control the reflectivity (if you so click on the particular choice in makemdl (gmax) or texture assignment dialog (FSDS2)

If you need a "reference" to work from on the texture side of things, look at the Bell/Robinson texture files. You might find it easier to use those and "modify" from there to get the look you want.
