I predict in 50 years, AVsim will be taken over by gremlins, Pete will rule the world, and FSplanet will be history. No-nodes.com will become a free website, with unlimited nodes. Oh, and, Martha Stewart will be president.

Well, they can but they are not used commercially.

We are pass the year 2000, and some books written in the 50s' describes 1999 as a world like the Jettisons.

I did some research on nuclear powered flight and  I came across books from the 50s' talking about aeronautics. I came across many variations of the PT Curser and Studebaker. Some had wings; some had a liquid rocket engine. Then some boats were powered by a rocket engine.

Perhaps the ugliest "thing with wings" I've seen was a three deck steamboat. I think there is an actual book called "Ugliest Airplanes"

I understand what you mean, Hagar.

However, in 50 years, I still WILL be thinking the same way as you see me thinking right now. This is because there were many things that occured in my life and some of those things have forever changed my life.

Anyways. Back then, flying cars were for the rich and strictly for the rich. Today, those flying cars are in their experimental stage [once again] and are becoming more cheaper than they were. This is because many people have found new ways and newer materials that can reduce the costs of both purchasing and maintaining such a thing.

I also predict that spyplanes will soon be so small, that they will soon be resembling insects. Right now, they are just the size of the palm of your hand and they are getting small every year or two.

I also predict that Microsoft might continue to sell us Flight Simulators that are becoming more disaproved by those who are having problems with it. Grin

I also predict that in 50 years, only less than 10% [not even] of the cosmos will be charted by our top scientists. So, don't expect a Klingon or Vulcan to be found anytime soon.

Good for you.  I'm not thinking the same way that I was five years ago.  Life changes you, let it.
