Is the jack on the video card an input, or an output? More than likely it is an output. Only other way I know of doing what you want to do is to buy a converter card. I'm currently using the ATI Tv Woder which seems to work pretty good as long as you have a decent computer and updated drivers for it. With the card you can then use RCA (inputs from camera) or Antenna / cable...
Hope this helps...

Firewire.
Firewire is the way to go if your system supports it... (Mine does!
) but they also have USB, and internal PCI cards capable of doing what you want. I might suggest looking at what they have at the Tiger Direct website.
I have ordered all of my parts for my computer from this site without having any problems excepts a bad power supply. Delivery is usually pretty prompt unless the item is backordered.
The following link should take you to the page with the video capture devices:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=314
Hope this information is worthwhile...
