Hi people.

I started some repainting a little while ago. I opened a texture file for one of the microsoft plane but all of them seem to open up corrupted. I open them in PSP 7 but they open up squashed and covered in green lines. Are they supposed to be like this or it it how microsoft stop you using their textures? Is there any way of opening them?

Please read through other topics in this forum. Also browse through the SimV Design & Utilities sections. This question has been addressed so many times before & people sometimes can't be bothered to answer the same old questions time after time.

The default texures & those on most 3rd party aircraft are compressed files in various Extended BMP formats. The actual format will depend on the sim. Use DXTBmp to open them for editing & saving in the appropriate format after they're finished. http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/index.htm
