Hello everyone!

I'ma newbie and having a problem on installing the gauges for AC520 panel!  Embarrassed

There was two zip files at the gauges folder, i've unzipped them to the gauges folder of FS2002 like the readme file guides me to do so.

I've took a flight with the plane but there were no instruments.

There was a screenshot at the how to install the Gauges file and there, the gauge zip files were at the cab format but i can't do that.

My question is how will i convert that zip file to cab format???

Thanks in advance!  Smiley

Ucak. Cabinet files are simply compressed files. They look exactly like zipfiles & can be extracted in the usual way with WinZip or similar utility. The later gauges introduced with FS2002 are known as XML gauges. These are in CAB format & 3rd party examples should be pasted direct into the FS2002\GAUGES folder. Do NOT extract them into the folder or they will not work. You might like to read my Working with Windows article. http://www.simviation.com/lair/windows.htm
If you have not already done so try setting your Folder Options as described. This will make it easier to distinguish between Zipfiles & those in CAB format.
You can also check the format of any file by right-clicking its icon & selecting Properties.

PS. I'm not familiar with this particular panel. It's possible the gauges are in the conventional GAU format. In this case take my tip & extract those zipfiles to a Temp folder. Then find the GAU files, select them all & paste them into FS2002\GAUGES. Do NOT overwrite existing files if prompted. Please ignore all instructions to extract zipfiles direct to the sim. This is the most common cause of all installation problems.

PPS. I think this covers your particular problem. http://www.flightsimonline.com/ac520/
