I'm still in shock.

Well if you are as big a military aircraft fan as I am, well, just look at the picture. This may be old news to some but I have been looking for something like this forever. It is available at avsim.com. (fafai_v1) It is an AI pack that was created for fs2002 but works perfectly in COF. You need TTools and a very slight working knowledge. I figured it all out in about 20 minutes and I've never used TTools. Anyway, I am in military AI heaven! I hope this makes someone's day as it did mine.
Thanks
Eric

The above pictures are only intended to demonstrate this amazing AI package. I did not want to showcase the planes I'm flying in the shots.

Anyway, Andrew the Hornets come in the package along with other military jets such as the Bae Hawk and the Valmet Vinka. The planes are designed specifically for AI and are very easy on the framerates. It also comes with full flight plans and easy to follow instructions. The plans revolve around approximately 20 airports in Finland.

If anyone has any trouble finding it just go to avsim and type in Kari Virtanen or Mikko Maliniemi in the search feature.

Eric

cool pics Eric, Project AI are in plans to get more AI Military flights created. Their problems are finding frame rate friendly models to use in 2004.

Can you change the bases of those AI flight plans to work at US Bases? Would be cool for them to work out of Nellis or Miramar. I might have to try it

Thanks for the replies.

I just wanted to adress planespotter's suggestion about using the models included for other locations. (ex- U.S. airbases). I'm sure that would be possible. The models are packages as normal AI downloads and with TTools and more knowledge than I have, you could put them anywhere you want. Miramar, Edwards, etc. (mind you they all have Finnish airforce markings)

Thanks
Eric

Hi Guys!!!!

I was astonished by these pics and the military AI traffic, so I decided to take a chance and try this crazy, hard and strange TTools (TTools 2.02) ....and... GOTCHA!!!
I'm amazed! I finally understood that "guy" and I took some pics of the hornet in Sao Jose Air Airbase (SBSJ) with my F-14 "What if..." yyyyyyyeaaaaah! I inserted for the very first time a traffic myself!  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

took some pics:

F-14 Panel Brazilian Navy "What If"  Lips Sealed just notice the vapor trail on center of my HUD and the Hornet
...

Starting to taxy sidebyside
...

Here it's a rearview pic, both, F-14 and F-18 ...

Hornet's pilot taxin'
...

Now she's labeled
...

Pushback
...

Just some final notes

1. I have not changed the Finland marks, dunno if I need permission to do that
2. this very F-14 is Dino Cataneo's GMax model and it's not finisehd yet, some minor errosrs are driving me crazy
3. as my 1st atempt to do a AI traffic I think I could understand that as ERICK said, hard, confused but can be done

comments are welcome guys!!!

cya!

Hi Foo Fighter,
Great job. You are way ahead of me. This was my first attempt at TTools as well, but I just stuck with the pre-packaged plans and did everything by the step by step instructions for the Finland airbases. Now I'm inspired to try putting those planes at some North American airbases.

I'm glad it worked out for you and that TTools, all I can say is WOW. Wish I had figured it out sooner!
Eric
