you da man:) LOL cheers
i dont know why but McDonnell Douglas have made some of the best jets flying. its just a shame they had a spell of bad luck, and that the MD11 failed(damn ETOP's)
i had to put multiple votes, in this order
1: DC10
(my baby)
2: MD11(apparently a b*tch to land but still amazing)
3: DC9 (this was my first regional jet and was the reason i my my Ex, and apart from having to change from one DC9 to another in DTW due to a fault, which meant a 1/2 mile run to change gates in time i still love it)
4:MD80, ooooooh why i like this aircraft i dont know this damn thing caused a 5 hour delay due to a busted reverser, then the crew went over their hours, and then we got stuck in a snow storm and had to be de-iced, however it got us out of detroit no matter how long it took, when other planes could land and few were taking off due to heavy snow and 0/0 visability in fog, it got me to Memphis without having to overnight. plus the power out of its little engines, is amazing.
thanks Mike for this poll, i love my MD's:)

The DC-3 seems the odd man out. I never knew it was a jet.
It's a real aeroplane built by the Douglas Aircraft Company long before the McDonnell Aircraft Corporation became involved. (They built some classic aircraft too.)
Sorry but it's the only one that gets my vote. The old girl will probably still be giving useful service long after the others have been scrapped.

I don't know if you can count the DC-3 anyway. Isn't that just Douglas and not MD? DC-10 and MD-11 could be counted ast the same jet...

For the same reason as the DC-3 - the F-101 was a McDonnell design, not a McDonnell-Douglas.
I wouldn't mind the MD-95, though.
