Alaska seems too far north for something like this.  Not to say it isn't a good suggestion; the location is all that gets me.

How about the Carribbean (sp)?  Nice, luscious scenery with plenty of beautiful water and excellent weather.  It would also be easier on frame rates somewhere in the middle of an ocean.

Sounds like a good idea to me, I would definatly be interested.  As for location, someone run over to pete's house with your handheld GPS and get the coordinates.

Nassau looks fairly good.  Out in the middle of the ocean, with enough room to add in at least a couple of hangars with static aircraft and a large amount of water in the center of the island.

What about human figures? I can make the realistic ones. And I'm mean by 3-D models. Now I'm getting real good at making human models in Gmax.  I'm real tired of seeing human figures come out as 2-D pictures on the Scenery Addons.

I have 2 that are ready. One has a low poly-count (male), the other has a high poly-count (female).

I'll have the pics redy ASAP.

You know, a nice population will make the scenery look even better and realistic.

Man, not only am I getting good at making car models and aircraft, but now I'm getting good at making people. Grin Too bad it's only with Gmax. All my models would look a lot better if I had 3D Studio Max v.5.

Anyways, I wanna help with this scenery project.

I personally think Pete's house is a great idea. Grin  I know I can not draw or do much that could help, but still have an idea or 2 to throw out.  I had not considered frame rates, what if palnes were scaled down in size, would it help?  We are there to look, not fly, so maybe size would be less important as long as scale was maintained. This might make site choice less troublesome.  People would be an nice addition as well.

I think Pete's house would be great!  (Wherever that is...)

Maybe he could provide a picture of the house to be used by a designer to create a model of his house as a structure in the complex?

But the winters there are pretty brutal.

Personally, I don't see how it matters where in the world it is put...it's not like we REALLY have to travel there.  Anywhere in our world is just a click away. Wink

Here's an afterthought....what if the residents of the board had to nominate people to put an aircraft in, sort of like a "Hall of Fame" sorta deal?  That might make it a bit more special.  Say you had to have 10 resident votes in order to be allowed to park something special to you....
