Husband, wife dead in light plane crash
Canadian Press
Sunday, October 12, 2003
TORONTO -- A married couple were killed when their plane crashed into a field shortly after takeoff in southwestern Ontario on Saturday morning, provincial police said.
The man and woman were in a single-engine Piper Comanche that took off from a small airport near the town of Delhi, northwest of Simcoe.
About 10 minutes later, the plane was returning to the airport, flying low. It made a turn but crashed into a field, short of the runway.
Provincial police and an official from the Transportation Safety Board investigated the crash site.
"The aircraft has been examined and we do have the data that we need,'' said Transportation Safety Board spokesman John Cottreau on Saturday.
He said it's too early to know whether a more detailed investigation into the cause of the crash is necessary.
Police have not released the names or hometown of the victims, who were the only occupants of the plane.

I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.
