I'm not sure if it is new, but recently found an all too good expensive graphics card!  Grin

quadro_fx_2000

This is a 256MB Quadro Fx 3000 Graphics Card

Price Tag~ Around $2,000

Actually, I'm not sure if it for gaming, DCC, ect.

There we go.

The Quadro FX is supposed to be for graphic design. When you go to places like Pixar or Sheriden College, that's probably what they have. I suppose you could use it for gaming but for $2000, why would you want to?  These cards are so powerful now, they need their own power supply. I believe the Geforce FX5200 is the only FX card that doesn't.

I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday. Wink&&The Rig: &&AMD Athlon XP2000+ Palomino, ECS K7S5A 3.1, 1GB PC2700 DDR, Geforce FX5200 128mb, SB Live Platinum, 16xDVD, 16x10x40x CDRW, 40/60gb 7200rpm HDD, 325w Power, Windows XP Home SP1, Directx 9.0c with 66.81 Beta gfx drivers

I think they only require the power plug if they have the big fans in them.

i've got an extra power supply on my 9700pro,but without having a geforce-like cooler. i don't think that an extra power supply is disturbing,it's just the proof for the power of a graphics card.  Wink
