simply put who watched it??
all i can say is what a race. although i am a little upset that schumacher didnt get the championship, i am glad he got the win, he prooved once again why he is the rain master and why he is a deserving world champion. poor poor montoya, how much more could have gone wrong for him.
this leaves what will be an interesting race at one of my fav races in japan,  i dont know why but i see something simmilar to the australian finish between hill and schumacher a few years back, with raikonnen needing a win and schumacher not needing any points if he doesnt, could we see him take out raikonnen like he did Hill a few years back(of course by "accident"Roll Eyes)

I watched it, thought it was a great race! Didn't think Schumacher would win it, as he started from 7th. Montoya had a terrible day....first he took out Barrichello, got a drive through penalty, and thereafter had a tough time keeping his car on the track. It was fun seeing them have to drive in that mess, figuring out tire strategies, etc. F1 beats NASCAR, CART, and all the other crap we have for racing over here. We need an American team and driver in F1!

how do you figure that ken?
at least it involves alot more work than most nascar races, watching cars go round in a dead oval for god knows how many laps makes me dizzy:) the fact they have to bring out the saftey car for most accidents tends to take away from it aswell.
although in recent seasons F1 has been predictable its always been good,

As soon as the rain started, it was inevitable... Lately F1 has become a little dull.
I miss the good old days of Mansell, Senna and Prost, you never knew WHAT was going to happen! Now that was racing.

alas the days of the greats has past. with cars becoming more advanced the drivers are becoming nothing more than a passenger.
i remember one race also where senna, actually got out of his car when he drove past an accident involving a friend of his, he just parked his car forgot about the race and went to help. saw this on a highlight thing a few years back, he ran over the track with cars coming past through smoke, now tell me drivers would do that these days

ok, shumacher should have been pentalized for passing panis, and im begining to think that ferrari isnt spending money on the car but, on FIA bribes(remember europe)

yes formula 1 has become more dull, but because the drivers have gotten used to the tracks and cars. when i look back at pre-90' the cars were changing all the time(and i want the 1000+hp turbo F-1s back). usually whenever the cars change dramaticly, things get intreresting. its that or we are at the beginning of the end of the great formula 1.oh, i almost forgot, this is the best explanation,SCHUMACHER WINS SO MUCH IT GIVES NO ONE ELSE A CHANCE TO WIN, SO F-1 HAS BECOME PREDICTABLE. i think he should just get it over with and win #6 and start his own team, and not race(all good drivers make bad team owners-alain prost, phenominal driver, horrible team owner)

ok lets get this strait----CART AND NASCAR DO NOT SUCK
nascar is exciting and offers people something you dont see anywhere else-bumpin and bangin on all kind of ovals. though i do admit- on tracks like talledega, you get real long streches of monotonous racing(pust me too sleep). CART, is probably faster than F-1 in a strait line because of the turbos, and they run on all kinds of tracks like street circuts, perminant road courses, superspeedways, and shorter ovals.  the only reason they dont compare to F-1 on road courses is because in CART, if you need a slightly different part, you modify it:in F-1 you just custom build a part.also in cart and nascar, you never know who will win(unlikeF-)NOW, please dont say anything about those two untill you know th facts.

we will get a F-1 driver in 05' probably-Townsend Bell.looks real good in F-3000.

I'm not sure about your "facts" Cub3pp; I merely expressed my own opinion about my preference for F1. I also think watching cars go around in circles is very boring.....never could get the attraction of that (but again, matter of opinion!). As for F1 vs. CART; I just like the F1 circuits better (Suzuka is my favorite).

I guess the race stewards didn't see it the same way you did. You should check out the F1-Live website..... you'll see some pretty fanatical debate about everything F1-related....teams, drivers, races, FIA, Bernie Ecclestone....ad nauseum. Of course there seems to be two major camps on their forums now....either pro or anti-Michael Schumacher. They've got numerous threads going now about MS passing Panis, (even with pictures posted). Funny how so many people can look at the same thing and disagree as to what happened!

yes i check f1live for race results and news, but i havent gotten involved in the forums because im afraid of more junk in my inbox.

i dont care if you like f-1 better, i was just making a point about CART. i mostely like cart because of the variety of circuts they run(especially street courses Cheesy)

umm, maybe you should at least try watching NASCAR from bristol, darlington, or martinsville. very exciting. oh well i dont care, i just like to Open peoples minds, though it is hard to get some people hooked on nascar bacause they are afraid of looking like a hick like me Tongue
just kidding, actually i only watch about 5 NASCAR races a year, and the rest are champ cars, F-1, and sometimes IRL.

ME? ANTI SCHUMACHER ALL THE WAY BABY! Alain prost would probably say IL EST UN CRETIN!

Conspiricy theory-mike schumachers intitials are MS....THE SAME AS MICROSOFT. i think MS is helping MS take over the world by bribing the FIA. and MS is also working with starbucks coffee to brain-wash us into being MS's soldiers against the aliens on rigel 4. Shocked

having watched all the big racing options, i can honestly say F1 is the only one i really like.
and why people get so pissed off at michael schumacher winning i dont know, he is simply the best of the best, if others cant beat him because of that, so what, find some better drivers and see if they have anymore luck. i can say with utter confidence that he could win a race in the worst car on the circuit because he is that good.
as for the panis incident, his rear wheels were past panis's rear wheels before he reached the yellow flags, add to that the real incident was still two corners away, he was perfectly in his rights to pass. also add into it the fact, he had the speed going into the area, that he couldnt just drop as it would have cost him places causing more chances for penaltys.

ok, if you think he could win in a 700hp car-ok whatever.
the fact of the matter is-kimi and montoya have proved they have the right stuff(although montoya has an impulse problem).and why hasnt schuacher ever won at an origional F-1 circut-monaco(nurumburg dont count), if you say he is as good as he is, he should overcome brigstone's tire problems there.

Schumacher is a great driver, but the reason some people find him annoying maybe what he's got away with in the past, such as the move that put Damon Hill out of the 94 Aussie GP, and won Schuey the championship, and the similar one on Villeneuve in 97, which thankfully didn't work as well...

I too wish F1 was a bit more like it was in the late 80's and early 90's, where team mates tended race each other (Prost, Senna), rather than lead an orderly procession...

Since MS is about to become WDC for the 6th time, I'd say he has managed to overcome the Bridgestone problem.
