Okay then everyone, how come is it that there are so few girls on this forum. I mean, us simmers can't be so awful and neglectful etc that the fairer sex won't have anything to do with us. The only girl here i know of is Self (Sarah). WHY??!! 8) ???

The problem Dan is that aviation is a male dominated game, just like say rock climbing (although my missus is well into this), or female topless boxing (an old favourite).
Personally I admire any woman that will stand out from the crowd and have a crack at a male dominated and usually somewhat sexist-pig thing. My wife shocked a lot of people taking up climbing with me (the in-laws are still giving me a hard time, and we've been married 2 years!). She is slowly coming around to aviation. My hat is off to all those ladies who get involved.
But that said, any bloke who knits is a complete handbag

For some strange reason I can just imagine that sooner or later someone like Bill Gates will come up with a virtual shopping simulator. This will of course be a marketing maneuver aimed at selling new computers for the his and her generation. Cause no simmer in his right mind would have such a simulator on his system. So the need for a separate computer will be great to prevent an all out war of the sexes....lol.
P.S. If Bill Gates reads this...I expect a cut for the idea. I'll need a hefty profit to locate a place on earth were irate male simmers won't be out to get me....lmao.

Well if he's knitting a handbag Scott, there is only one decent thing you can do. Strangle him with the wool, and jam the knitting needles in his eyes!

The irony in this subject, for me is; I always considered flight simming and war games etc., to be a predominantly MALE activity and was happy to leave the IM's Email's and Chatrooms to my wife. Now I find myself here BSing with you lot!

Actually Will, I would like to, but the wife and I are saving to buy land in WA state at the end of the year. She saves EVERY last penny that
I
earn. I have a list of items that I'm compiling when the "big buy" is finished.
1] Video Card
2] Fast Dial-up Connection
3] CFS3 (I've taken to dive bombing buildings, and chasing airliners for entertainment!)
4] Some kind of combat video game (1st person)
I've tried flying online, but just plain old FS seems kinda boring to me. I have to admit I haven't tried it enough, and my lack of knowledge concerning how to do it (due to lack of spare time) have kept me from doing it much more. ??? Pat 8)

I picked up CFS1 for $40 Aust. about 8 months ago, mate. I'm told it can be got for $20-00 in the US.
It can be played on even my pawltry system with intergrated graphics all day long at 40 fps.
And it's a great Sim. The graphicS aren't as good as CFS2 but it's a good game.
I'm sure she wouldn't begrudge an avid simmer $20.
It's not out of date, just simpler. A great game mate.

The other day, I bought takeout rice n' beans(about $3.50 USD), the fight that resulted lasted an hour! It WILL be worth it in the end though! The land we're saving for is 10acres on the side of a mountain that overlooks the Straight of Juan de Fuca(I can probably see Rifleman's house from the property
