I am working on creating an engine fire effect associated with the "I" key (for the moment) for Jon Murchison's great BAe 146-200 QT in FS2004.  Here it is so far.

I am just learning how to use the .fx files in FS2004.  Still lots to go.  But it is a start.  Uses some of the stock .fx files, and some I have modified, and some I have written.

Eventually this effect will get activated from "elsewhere".

Adding it to other aircraft is just a matter of changing some location coordinates in the aircraft.cfg file for the plan you want it on.  Will post it when I get it tweaked out well.  Hacve some ideas about how to increase the "realism" of the (visual) sequence of events that develops.
