That is the SA-43 Hammerhead Attack Jet from Space:Above and Beyond. And yes, it is fun to fly, once you work out the kinks. I even made a couple of my own liveries for the first version, but haven't attempted on the newest release.

Hmmm, very spooky. I am leary of any bird what wings don't spin over my head (so I know they are still working) let alone one that is flying backwards.
Very cool plane though and some nice shots.

Flightsim.com.
Search for SA-43 and you will get about six or seven entries, all of them the same aircraft in different liveries. Make sure you get the one uploaded on 8/24 instead of 7/07. The one from 8/24 is the upgrade.

There is also hh57, hh58, hh59 and hh617, which is a dambusters version. All very cool!

It was a TV show, aliens attack a colony on some planet and the UN gets mad and goes off to war with the aliens. 8)
