Yesterday, I took my first flight in a Piper J-3 Cub. OMG, IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! First, we took off. then, after we circled around my house, the guy I was flying with let me take the stick till we landed. Boy, it was great. We flew with the door open, and passed about 25 737's going on approach to Newark. Then, up to New York, landed at a small strip on Long Island to reful, down to Philly, then back to landing. When the guy asked to take over to land, I took my hand off the stick, and it was all sweaty and shaking. GO FIND A CUB AND DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy, it was loud too...

Yeah, the J-3 is fun to fly and a good plane to learn taildraggers on. I've got about 40 hours of Cub time in my logbook. Unfortunately, the J-3 gets to be unbearably slow. Fly parallel to a highway and into a headwind, and you'll likely notice cars passing you below! Tongue
