hi there
i need some help here, i tried to start fs tonight and on the screen pops up "fs needs dx8a or higher please reinstall fs"
i know nothing about computers but can anybody tell me if there is anything i can do apart from reinstalling?
Nothing has changed on the computer from the last time fs was running
Any help would be much appreciated

You can go into the windows update site and do a search for DX9a, I think this is the latest version. 2k2 will run more happily on this than on 8a.

It's a program that allows a graphics hungry application like flight sim to "talk" to your graphics card. As far as my (limited) understanding goes, the higher the number the better.

You can get an idea of which version you have installed by hitting:

Start>Run then type "dxdiag" and hit return.
