i have download differend plane´s and copy them into the aircraft forlder in cfs2. when i go to free flight and want to select the plane i can´t see the visual model. when i hit the fly now button i get the message " visual model could not be displayed" and a other message " Error loading mission file. Either mission file is corrupt or formatted improperly".
i have looked up in the folders of the aircarfts and i can see no differends with my other planes.

The most likely reason for error messages is that you have too many aircraft installed. CFS2 has a limit (around 100) to the number of aircraft that can be installed at one time.

There is also a bug with some 3rd party aircraft & WinXP. This will give the error you describe when selecting a particular aircraft.
Both bugs & fixes for them are addressed on my CFS2 FAQ page.

Are the problem aircraft from the FS2002 sections? Gmax aircraft are not compatible with CFS2 unless they were created specifically for it. There's a tute for manually converting the MDL file posted in the Help section. "How to make FS2002 Aircraft mdl work in CFS2" http://www.simviation.com/fsdhelp.htm
I haven't tried this tweak as from what I read it's complicated & has some limitations. It might be better to use earlier FS2000 designs.
