Does anyone know of a way to get the full dive brakes on the CFS2 Dauntless SBD to work. I can't seem to get them to open. I figure someone out there might have done it already.

SmileySteven, go to the outhouse and you will find a neat little file.  www.sim-outhouse.com. ; It is in the forums, CFS2, and I can't remember just which one.  Something about SDB.  It  has pictures of the flaps with holes in them.  Not just black dots.  It if from Ted.  He has come up with an alpha format which you can place into the files and real holes show up on the flaps and dive breaks.  It is very nice.  You will also need the DXTBmp program to get it to work.  You can get it at www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/index.htm
If you have any problem finding it send me a message and I will send you the files.

Actually Jaxon made the SBD wing hole mod, VF2_Ted did the one for the helldiver using Jaxon's idea, but both look great!

SmileySteven, colmack is right about Jaxon Wink  I sure did not mean to leave him out of this.  His hard work to make the holes in the dive breaks should not go un-noticed.  To Jaxon and to Ted a great big THANK YOU Wink Wink.  Colmack, thank you for reminding me, I sure did not mean to leave Jaxon out of this.

OH MAN! I've just installed the perforated dive brakes on my SBD and they are just about the coolest thing I've seen in CFS2 in a long time. Thanks again for the heads up on this. Every time I think CFS2 is as good as it's going to get, some thing comes along and tops it. Cheesy

SmileySteven.  If you want the best sound that you can find for your plane then go to www.netwings.org. ; Go the the downloads section, then what's new.   It is at the top of the page.   You will see the VB-15 SB2C.  The plane is fantastic, with the dive breaks and all.  It has about the best sound anywhere.  You can copy and paste the sound folder into your SBD folder and you will not believe your ears.  Give it a try, I am sure that you will enjoy it. Wink

Thanks Guys. That new SB2C IS amazing, the best yet. I'm already flying it in missions. Sorry it took so long to respond. Big storm here, (Indianapolis), on monday knocked out telephones and flooded my down stairs.  WHAT A FLIPPING MESS!
