well i am guessing there are some football fans in here, there were last year:).
so what are your predictions y'all
i am going to have to say green bay are going to be very likely contenders for the superbowl,
but of coarse as some of you know, being a broncos fan i gotta go with them. they have one of the best teams in the league, and a very strong defense, they have had a pretty good pre season, 3 wins out of 4. with griese gone as QB and plummer in i think they will pull it off. they have the best running back since Terrel Davis, in clinton portis who is in my opinion alot better than ricky williams. and they have kept a really good special teams selection(Elam is still best kicker out there period).
can anyone tell i am bored??Smiley
so come on guys predictions

Craig... Grin
We've been here before... Roll Eyes
Crazy Craig started it off last time... Angry...!
My response is the same as it was last time...
I could NEVER understand how 22 "aparantly" grown men can kick a pigs bladder around a muddy field in a vain attempt to get it into a fishing net at one end or the other.
And...
If one of them does manage to do it, the rest of the team immediately jump onto his back, kiss him, rub his hair, and generally interfere with his private parts... Shocked...!
Then...
The opposing fans in the stadium then proceed to kick the crap out of each other.... 8)...!
...all in the name of "SPORT".... Roll Eyes...!
It leaves me flippin' cold.... Cry...!

LOL...LOL...LOL...!

Cheers all... Grin...!

P.S. ...that's put the dampers on that idea then... Grin... Grin... Grin...!
P.P.S. ..Craig and his flippin' football... Roll Eyes.. Roll Eyes.. Roll Eyes..!

I can remember, (as in a recurring nightmare), when I was a little lad at school in the 1940's, in the middle of the coldest Winters you could ever imagine, forced to put on a flimsy shirt, baggy shorts containing my frozen little legs, a pair of someone elses ill-fitting boots, and run around a muddy field kicking a bleedin' football... Cry...!
..From that time onwards I just knew that this was not something I could get REALLY excited or enthusiastic about... Wink...!
LOL...LOL...LOL..!

Cheers all.... Grin...!

been there done that a million times:) and the pitch was frozen and seeing as i was for my school team a goalie, you can imagine not only having to stand there freezing my poor ass off, but also having to dive on the solid ground,Smiley still great fun. and to top it off our training pitch in my first high school had a big slope, it was like the pitch was tilted on its side at about 20 degrees. my worst was swimming, they had an outdoor pool. and on our first lesson it was middle of november temp was less than 5*c, and they send us out there to swim, as soon as we hit the water everyone froze, it was pure torture on the teachers part.

College football is an excuse to sit in front of a TV from Thursday night until Saturday night and drink beer.

Professional football is an excuse to sit in front of a TV all day Sunday and drink beer.

Monday Night Football ... well, you get the idea.

Golf is an excuse to go outside and drink beer, then go to a bar and watch it (or football) on TV and drink beer.  I had to get golf in there somewhere - it's my only exercise.

Oh yeah, GO DOLPHINS.  I don't think they realistically have a chance at anything but I live here and they have provided me innumerable opportunities over the years to sit in front of a TV and drink beer.

Hey, I think that you guys are all forgetting about the Carolina Panthers-I mean come on, they're going all the way (i could dream, right).  Or maybe the Bears (yes, both my favorite teams stink).  Anyway, I think that this year the Rams are looking very strong in the NFC (I hate to say it) and I think that the AFC is gonna be close with the Raiders contending for a possible Super Bowl return-but I also see strength in both the Bills and the Chargers (the Charger's will be in the Super Bowl in the next few years).

Also, keep an eye on the Lions-I know they stink right now but they remind me of the 49ers of the late 1970's-give them a few years.
