Or maybe just Weird Food from around the world. What is with these things you guys eat? Haggis, Blood Pudding, Kidney Pie, Tripe... I mean really guys, how gross can you get. Take a sheep stomach and stuff it with everything you would normally throw away on an animal? Gross. I'm not really sure what is in Haggis, but I know enough not to eat it.
You guys should take some lessons from us. Steak and Baked Potatoes all the way. Three words baby! Bar B Q!
And what's with this drinking your beer warm? No sir, I like my beer ice cold. The way God and Anheuser-Busch intended!

It has now been found out that barbequed meat, cremated, and turned into charcoal is carsenogenic and devouring it will surely kill you...

As an American, I'll agree that the English eat some weird food, but as one of German heritage, I need to remind you that Germans drink their beer at room temperature, not English. (Also, it's not ALL Germans..mainly the old school ones.)
As for haggis and kidney pudding...yeah, that's out there.

Haggis is the heart, lungs, and liver of a sheep boiled in it's own stomach and mixed with oatmeal and spices. My grandma is just about as Scottish as you can get but has never tried it. I've never had it either.
You Americans think British food is gross, just try not to think about what's in a hot dog.
I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.

you dont know what a chip buttie is??
the best ones i like are to get some thick cut fries and two slices thick bread, absolutly cover them both in butter and then pile on the fries, and squash together:)
now thats good eatin, some people prefer to use french fries but i find you loose the taste due to the bread.

Thinly sliced, Cheddar cheese.
Thinly sliced, large Spanish onion.
Pre-heat the oven, gas Mark 5
Pile in alternate layers onto a baking sheet.
Pop into the oven on the middle shelf.
Cook slowly until the whole lot has melted together and crisp round the edges!
Remove and put onto a HOT plate.
Consume with fresh buttered bread.

Oh you fool! The spelling is PASTY and the pasty is a meal on its own with no need for egg 'n' chips with it.
Honestly! Some times I wonder who let the pasty out of Cornwall. No one else seems to know how to eat them and it isn't a Cornish Pasty if it wasn't made there surely.

You know, some one should open up a British restaurant here in the US. People would come from all over just to find out what a Buttie is. Personally, I think the tripe would go over well. I wouldn't mind trying some authentic 'Bangers and Mashed' Did I say that right? I even have a name for it. "Limey's"

PASTY !
...there,... I stand corrected !
As for having it on the side of Egg 'n Chips.......I'm no pip-squeak, so for me, it just completes the meal,...
.... and my second excuse it that I have been tarnished by western influence of Steak 'N Eggs, which is a big breakfast in North America.......Big Boy = Big Appetite !
Third excuse is my Geordie upbringing

There's a nice British place near my Grandma. Serves up nice fish n' chips but their salmon is a bit over done. It's always filled with the elderly and an assortment of trailer trash.

If you've ever go to the CNE in Toronto, be sure to take a trip to the Food Building. So much to choose from.
You get the old standards like pizza and burgers but they have lots of wonderful international places from Jamaican to German. When I was there on Sunday, I went to the Greek stand and got Souvlaki on a pita which was quite good. My mom had a German sausage on a bun.

You can't possibly go wrong with a hamburger and fries.
Contents:
Min. 1/2 lb hamburger
Mild Cheddar Cheese
Lettuce
Tomato
Pickles
Extra Onions (Raw)
Mayonnaise
Ketchup
Mustard
Heinz 57 Steak sauce (Optional)
Of course, the burger must be cooked over an open flame, the bun must be toasted, and of course, a nice cold Heinikin to go with it.

That can't possibly taste much better than Fozzer's Kidney Pudding. (Not made with his own kidney's, presumably.)
You guys seem to have some weird ideas. I've never seen a kidney pudding. Steak & Kidney pudding or pie (otherwise known as Snake & Pygmy) yes. Delicious. LOL

There's a nice British place near my Grandma. Serves up nice fish n' chips but their salmon is a bit over done.
Fish 'n' chips is traditionally filleted haddock, deep fried in batter served with "french" fries & lashings of salt & vinegar. Other popular fish are cod, plaice & huss or "rock salmon" which is in fact a salt water catfish. I've never seen battered real salmon. Fish 'n' chips tastes best eaten with your fingers straight from the wrapping. This used to be newspaper in m young days.

People would come from all over just to find out what a Buttie is.
A buttie or (butty) is a local name (north of England slang) for a sandwich. 2 slices of buttered bread with a filling. A chip butty is filled with chips, what you would call french fries. A jam buttie would be filled with jam.
I tried Tripe & Onions once & almost threw up after one mouthful. Never felt inclined to try it again. As for eating offal, I hate to think what goes into the average hot dog or hamburger.

Well, Hot Dogs used to be all kinds of filler stuffed into an intestine. Nowadays though, they're pretty much just processed meat molded into a weiner shape.
Hamburgers are just plain beef...

In Canada, Fish 'n' Chips is usually made with Halibut. I don't care much for Haddock, I find it's a very bland fish. Very popular in Scotland though.
I don't think a chip buttie would taste too good. Potatos on a sandwich.
I usually make them with Canadian Bacon which is really nice, especially with some melted cheese.
I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.

If you ordered Fish 'n' Chips "oop North" you would get haddock, probably as it's caught locally. Cod & plaice are more popular down South. Cod, my favourite, is becoming harder to get these days & much more expensive.

Chip butties are very tasty. You're most likely thinking of the US-style open sandwich. A traditional British sandwich is 2 slices of liberally buttered bread with the filling in between. In some parts of the UK fish 'n' chips is not complete without slices of buttered bread ready to create your own butties. Delicious.

Well I'm going to have to admit that years ago before the Australian Gov't banned haggis(no doubt for very good reasons)I used to eat it at a friends'(Scottish)place and didn't mind it at all.
Then again I'll eat just about anything
