I started a flight the other day around the US.  It is a completely VFR flight with no flight plan.  I'm gonna do it the old way, by the seat of my pants, in an old P-47N for range and speed.  I'm going to try and not go over 1,000ft MSL, I'm gonna buzz America.  My question is if anyone wants to see the many pics.  (not all of them of  course.)  I started at my local airport in upstate New York, flew down to Miami, and over to New Orleans, hugging the coast the whole way.  Thats as far as I am.  About 7 1/2 hours fling time.  Heres a little preview:

About 20 mins into the flight.  Lady Liberty in New York Harbor.
...

About 5 1/2 hours into the flight.  I'm having a little fun with a MD-80.
...
I think I got him.  What I'd give for working weapons in this game.   Roll Eyes

P.S.  I'm not even half way through the flight and I've collected over 500 screenshots.   Shocked

I guess since nobody voted on the last one, I'll do it.  I'll try and cut it short.

I would love to see it, but if you are going to only fly at 1000 feet MSL it will be a short trip.  If you are going to fly at 1000 feet AGL, then it will be more worth while.

OK, I`m in Orange Co so, I usually depart fom either Orange Co airport or KSWF (Stewart Field).

Weather permitting, I plan on making it up to Rheinbeck next weekend for the MID Hudson RC club`s anual meet at the Aerodrome.
I haven`t been there since about 1985 so I`m really looking forward to it.
I hope the weather is calm saturday as I would love to see the Bleriot "fly" again.
The late Cole Palen was quite a character! He was one of a kind!

BTW, we need Hudson River bridges starting with the Kingston-Rheincliff,  and all the bridges down river to, and including a decent GW. Smiley

Your right, but don't forget about the Rib Van Winkle.  If I knew anything scenery design, I do Albany to NYC, but I don't, and even if I did, I probably wouldn't.   Undecided
