Hello !

I'm working on a turboprop with two engines.I have some question.
1st : What type of engine have I define : turboprob or jet?
2nd : When I want to start only the left or right engine,both props are being rotate.Whats the problem?
3rd : How can I make that the props RPM is increasing slow when engine starts ?

Thanks

For starters, when first producing your twin turboprop to FS9/2002, base your flight dynamics on the default King Air.  Your engines, etc., are already set up as two turboprops

Without more information, such as how many engines have you declared in the aircraft.cfg file, it's hard to diagnose your problems.

I produced my plane using King Air.Here is the config :

engine_type = 5
fuel_flow_scalar = 1.000
engine.0 = 3.615, -7.705, 2.322
engine.1 = 3.615, 7.705, 2.322
min_throttle_limit=-0.250000

When I start engines this happens :

Starting engine 1. : I can hear starting sound,the gauges show engine start,and both props are rotating.

Starting engine 2. : I can hear starting sound,the gauges show engine start,and the props are NOT rotating.

In FSDS i used the following names :
- for left engine's prop : prop_still,prop_slow,prop_blurred
- for right engine's prop : prop0_still,prop0_slow,prop0_blurred.

Try this:

Rename your left prop  parts to prop0_still, prop0_slow, prop0_blurred,

Rename your right prop  parts to prop1_still, prop1_slow, prop1_blurred,

Thanks.I've done it before your reply and it's working now Smiley Now I have one unanswered question :  How can I make that the props RPM is increasing slow when engine starts ( not like a piston engine ) ?

Table 1505 is the spool-up data for  turbojets. Might work for turboprops?
Read the AirEd.ini

Table 1501 in .air
3h=Appears to be 1/(100*Time_Constant) Affects N1/N2|Turboprop prop may slow rates - Dec Prop MoI if necessary

Hello IanK,

            A turboprop is a jet engine.It is hard to believe but the air intakes below the propeller sucks in air and fuel igniters ignite the air and then it moves the turbine which moves the propeller.Thanks !
