Just got this email people, VERY BAD NEWS!

During the next several weeks be VERY cautious about opening or
launching any e-mails that refer to the World Trade Center or 9/11 in
any way, regardless of who sent it. PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL YOUR
FRIENDS AND FAMILY. FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW, "WTC" STANDS FOR THE
WORLD TRADE CENTER. REALLY DANGEROUS BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL OPEN IT
RIGHT AWAY, THINKING ITS A STORY RELATING TO 9/11!

BIGGGG TROUBLE !!!! DO NOT OPEN "WTC Survivor" It is a virus that
will erase your whole "C" drive. It will come to you in the form of
an E-Mail from a familiar person. I repeat, a friend sent it to me,
but called and warned me before I opened it. He was not so lucky and
now he can't even start his computer!

Forward this to everyone in your address book. I would rather
receive this 25 times than not at all. So, if you receive an email
called "WTC Survivor", do not open it. Delete it right away! This
virus removes all dynamic link libraries (.dll files) from your
computer.

ITS A HOAX
Quote:
Quick on the heels of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center came the "WTC Survivor" virus hoax. Although a virus could be harbored in a mail message bearing any subject line the sender chose, there was never a rash of disabled computers or deleted DLL files caused by e-mail messages titled "WTC Survivor" -- this one was a hoax from the very beginning.

go to  http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/wtc.htm ; for the complete story

As soon as I started reading the original post, I became leary of it.  There were a lot of red flags that seemed to indicate to me that it was a hoax...

This is a good time to mention this to EVERYONE.  Don't blindly adhere to the directions you receive in your inbox.

A great place to check is www.snopes.com to verify and authenticate your "virus warnings".

My sister, bless her heart, deleted a crucial Windows file on her system because of an email she received and didn't think to look it up.  She then forwarded it on to everyone she knows.  Fortunately, I looked it up before I followed the instructions, and sure enough...

ALWAYS DO RESEARCH BEFORE YOU PASS SOMETHING LIKE THIS ALONG!  lol  It saves a lot of people a lot of headache!

Funny Felix, because they also have an entire section dedicated to Ozzy.  Apparently, he's a legend, just not an urban one.

Seems this whole "lets fly upside down through XXX" business has really gotten out of hand.

Word on the street is that the vFAA is considering a full revocation of the vLicense.

But what do I know? Wink
