I'm interested to know what the nicest fighter that has been in service with the Royal Air Force/Navy (there i've changed it now) is to you guys. Once you voted please say what you voted for.
Just so you know what they look like here they Are.
DeHavilland Sea Vixen - My personal fav.
English Electric Lightning
Gloster Javelin - not expecting many for this one but just in case.
BAE Harrier
Panavia Tornado - I love these as well.
Sepecat Jaguar - I suppose these look nice.
BAE Hawk
BEA Typhoon - These I also like.

Crumbso,
I'll have to pass on the aircraft you've got listed. The nicest looking British jet fighter is the Hawker Hunter. The Hunter is slim, trim and sleek. Even when standing still she looked like she was going fast!

I have to agree with denishc. No contest - the Hawker Hunter wins hands down every time. I can't believe you didn't even list it.
???
PS. The Sea Vixen was never in service with the RAF.

Hey guys I have nothing against jets
I voted for the Lightning, as I think she is simply divine, and I was briefly involved with the restoration of one.
And the Sea Vixen was a Royal Navy plane Crumbso
The giveaway being the word Sea in the title
Even your picture of one has Royal Navy slapped on the tail boom

gotta be the harrier for me. although i do love the sound some of those old jets make when they fly past, where it goes kinda quiet then the noise suddenly catches up,thats cool
side note where are those models from? the tornado looks like the one that came with the air combat magazine but with a differant stand

You lot must be blind.
The Hunter has it all. Grace, elegance & the classic lines of a thoroughbred. Looks great from any angle. This is not only my opinion.
Quote:
Regarded by many as the most graceful jet design ever to leave the ground, the Hunter is hugely popular aircraft, both with its pilots and with those who merely watch and wish to be a pilot. From the same stable as the legendary Hurricane, the Hunter is from the era when the F-86 and MiG-15 were hot ships, but not only outlasted them, but has also stayed around longer than many later aircraft.
It's often been called the jet equivalent of the Spitfire.

Of those RAF fighters the lightning for looks and performance, of those fighters though Sea Vixen, and I'll go with the Hunter for best looking RAF jet of all time 8)

Yeah, Yeah I know I forgot that for a moment. The DH.110 was going to be RAF though. I can't exclude my favourite aircraft.
Sorry I can't believ eI forgot the Hunter, that was very stupid of me. I'm quite surprised the Jaguars winning it looks so French to me and I'm not a huge fan of french aircraft.
Well lets just imagine the Vixen was in the airforce would have been MUCH better than the damn Javelin.
