Project Mercedes is the Gmax construction of the most highly-detailed, Graphic-intensive car model ever made for FS2002 and FS2004.

It will have:

1. High detailed exterior with reflections (no box-like appearance).
2. Reflective textures will also be utilized for the rear and side view mirrors.
3. Animated steering wheel, pedals, stick-shift, power windows, and EVEN cd-player.
4. Highly-detail interior.
6. and much more.

Right now, I am already finished with the model, a few more things need to be added to the interior (like steering wheel, pedals, stick-shift, and that's it).

However, I will need help with:

1. Textures
2. Setting the vehicle's wheel contacts
3. Looking for sound files that mimic the real thing

So, I am now asking everyone to come here a form a team that can help me finish this project as soon as possible.

The car that I am working on right now is the Mercedes SL600.

I will have some pics ready as soon as possible to show you how far I am in this project.

List of cars for me to do (in number order):

1. Mercedes SL600
2. 1960's Corvette Stingray
3. 1999 Jeep Cherokee
4. Nissan Skyline (drag-racing type)
5. Chevy Corvette Z06
6. Any F1 racer or possibly NASCAR types.

I will also need someone who specializes on creating good scenery.

I am asking this because I believe it a good idea to have a raceway (like Homestead Speedway or that of Daytona) for those who like to do laps.

I also think it's pretty nice to have a looong, straight highway for those who love to drag race (see who's the fastest one).

Any other suggestions for the current project and other developements are welcome.

Please , I need a team.

I guess you and I (plus others) are now crazy. LMFAO Grin

I'm doing this for 2 reasons.

1. I am tired of seeing those previous car models that are so boxey in appearance and that they are all just clean models (no animations, no DVC, no nothing). The Mercedes I'm making will be like ordering pizza, it will have everything on it. Grin

2. I want everyone to see all those autogen buildings and homes (of their local area) in a way that an everyday, non-pilot individual sees. I want to take full advantage of the scenery's roads and stop by at Pollo Tropical or make a stop at the Mobile Gas Station. Grin FS2004 actually has those if you set your autogen level to maximum.

I'm in the process of setting up the pics (converting them to JPG format). I'll put them up by noon.

UUhhhhh guy, I still need help. Tongue Sad

HHmmm, nice model you have there.

If I were you, fix the nose. It looks like you bumped that ship against a wall. Grin

The cockpit looks good too.

Sorry I took so long with the pics, but here they are. Eat your heart out. Grin

When I first started making this model (half a year ago), the the fron part was the toughest part to make considering the curves.
...

You can see that I added a nice shine to the model. However, the shine is not much to look at in the virtual world of FS.
...

Took me some time figure out how the rear of the car looked like. In the end, a friend of mine (Oz) managed to obtain a photo image of the car's rear.
...

The side view mirrors were simple to make. This mirror was made with a plane (geometric term). All I had to do was extrude a big poly and shape it.
...

And finally, this. It took me quite a long time to tackle the interior. You have no idea how hard it was. You can see the added features I made. Just for the fun of it, I added the paintball gun (made months prior to the start of the Mercedes). Cool, huh? Grin
...

This post should draw more attention. 8)

Hey everyone, what do you think?

PS: As you can see, a few things need to be added. If these pics can't draw the attention of helpers out there, then nothing will.

If you want to see what's possible with a FS2002 car, you should drop by Bill and Lynn Lyons site,

http://windrfters.com/

and check out their classic III download. It has the Ryan PT16 airplane, but it also has a 1934 Ford roadster. They've just made these sets freeware. They used to cost $12.

excellent example of what a car can be in FS2002.

Now that site has some really good car models.

From what I see, those guys can probably offer a ton oh help. Obviously enough those guys can also help me how to set up the wheel contacts for my model.

I have already started a project called Project Have Blue (Gmax construction of the F-117 NightHawk's predecessor, the F-117/A Have Blue). It begin a very long time ago. It is also suffering delays for 2 reasons:

1. No one has stepped forward to help with the flight dynamics since this aircraft was once a top-secret jet hidden by the US gov't. Not much info on it because of this.

2. It's wheel contacts can't cooperate like the Mecedes'.

That's right, I still won't give up on that jet. 8)
