Having got the P-51D flying as an AI, couldn't resist taking off in another Mustang and trying to catch it.
It's not often that I don't crop my screenies but all of these are totally unedited because I think they show what flying in wide open skies is all about. They are all taken somewhere over southern China in FS2002.
Coming up onto the AI Mustang
Now just ahead of it
Couldn't get much more line-astern thin this
And now I break away showing the terrific detail on Andrew Wai's great model.
I'd like to say that I managed to fly in wingtip formation but I couldn't manage it. At 300kts as I've mentioned elsewhere, this baby is a bit unstable.
I'm not a great warbirds fan but I have to say that this is such a good visual model it's worth having in the hangar. Need to sort out the fde though.

Thanks guys. Steve's the man on this. He originally found the plane and I've just messed around a little with it. It's for CFS2 and I found it by searching for Andrew Wai at Avsim*.
At least the shots make a change from 'DC3 taking off from X airport at dawn' or 'Super Cub landing at Y at dusk' straight out of the box ACOF shots that I'm getting sooooo tired of seeing now!
Roger
PS
I'm still working on the AI fde. At the moment because of the torque factor it is running off the side of the runway at takeoff and when I've got it sorted I'll upload the files to my website. Come to think of it, might be an idea to look at making a few other old warbirds AI as well. What do you think? Woops - that was the wife. She thought I was talking about her...
*Edit
Sorry - meant Flightsim.
