After over a year running FS2002 as smooth as silk, I am suddenly getting system lockups after only about 15 sec into flight. My Radeon 7000 32 meg video card is out of warranty if that is the likely problem.  How do I troubleshoot a video card ?  Thanks

Have you made any recent changes or updates to your system that involve DirectX, such as a new driver? Undecided

If you haven't already, you may want to try downloading the latest version of DirectX (I think its 9.0) and/or the latest drivers available for your system.  If you haven't had problems before, then its more likely to be a problem with DirectX than a hardware issue. Undecided

Where are you flying? Is it somewhere new or are you using a different approach to normal?

The reason I ask is that I have flown in and out of Noumea Tontouta/Magenta a few times but it is only when I approach from the North that I have problems,as in wrong headings in GPS and major hesitation in the sim.

I haven't recorded every instance this has happened but this is the most recent.
