what can i say really its been a nice day. the weathers still great, i applied for a baggage handling job up at BIA and i am getting a new cell phone tomorow. the job may not be flying but it would at least get me closer than i am now. the fact i got clearance from the doctor is great as it means my back and neck are both healing and fingers now only a week or two from being completly healed. ooooh i am in a good mood today:) and there is no one who will change that:)

Craig...that sounds very similar to how I got started with Continental Airlines.  lol

I started out working as a cleaner with a contracted aircraft cleaning company.

Did that for a year and a half before accepting a position as an agent with Continental Express.  I worked the ramp, baggage, ticket counter, and gate for exactly 265 days.

Then I applied, got accepted to, and graduated from the Continental Airlines Inflight Training Academy and worked as a Domestic Flight Attendant for about a year.  Then I stupidly got out of the industry altogether.  (Though I was happy about that on 9/11!)

Airline jobs are difficult to come by, so hold on to it if you get one.  You'll be glad you did!

Good luck, and let me know if you hear anything!

thanks hyperion:) will do, i dont how long this job would last for if i did get it, alot of it rests on where my mums job takes us next, but i def want to use it as a stepping stone into the airline business, the direct route doesnt seem to work right now:) so sort of go the way you did

My original plan was to work my way up while working on my license, then when I'm qualified, I was going to apply to fly with them.

But I soon learned that commuting from Maine to New Jersey to work was harder than it sounds, and I just couldn't do it anymore...I was getting burned out.

Sometimes I wonder if I should have left...lol

I promised myself flying lessons as a reward for quitting smoking.  That was five years ago.  I still haven't got my PPL, but I did quit smoking... Smiley ??? Angry
