Yeah, all this name changing on the forum is very funny ..... I do not think.
The whole idea of having an ID is so you can follow the discussion in a thread and know who you're talking to.
If silly bu**ers keep changing their names, that becomes impossible and I for one will stop wasting my time trying to communicate intelligently with people who do it.
So there

That's the point. Changing your name affects all forums.

That was the point of this.
The name changes only affect you if you let them. As has been discussed numerous times in the proper forum for this discussion, there are easy ways for people to tell who you really are.
It's a gag, folks. It doesn't need to be a major issue. To be quite candid, I'm sort of disappointed that it has become what it has, especially here at SimV...

I just think its sad that we live in a world where men and women are being targeted and killed in many parts of the world, children are starving, homeless people are sleeping in the streets, and outbreaks of until recently unheard of viruses are taking people away...
...yet people changing their forum name gets people all fired up.

Maybe we're all, those for & against, taking this a tad too seriously. LOL
If you wish to change your name permanently, don't ask - just do it.
Same goes if you wish to change it briefly for a joke, providing you change it back again. It's only a harmless bit of fun. Personally, although I understand it could be confusing for a short time, I don't see what all the fuss is about.

Yes, but then we're lumped in with folks like OJ Simpson, Robert Blake, Kobe Bryant, and Jack the Ripper...
