Where Can I find charts for easier Navigation in the FS? I don't want Jeppensen. I mostly want Miami and Jacksonville ARTCC Charts to plan every flight easier. Thanks.

There's a thread about two to three weeks back about obtaining charts from your local FBO.

If you'd like taxiway diagrams though, head to www.aopa.org  They're there for the free taking, and if you print a bunch out and stick 'em in a white three ring binder that you found in your hall closet but weren't using anymore and set them atop your printer which is seated to the immediate left of you, they'll come in quite handy.

Not that I've done this, of course.   Wink

I'm probably beginning to sound like I'm putting in plugs for this web site, but I can't say enough about www.fltplan.com.
This sight is more for real world flight planning, but if you sign up(it's free), you can access NOS plates. Also, on this sight there's a link to a Government sight where you access all of these plates directly, and possibly charts as well. You may want to do a search, to save time, and go directly to the Gov. sight.  Wink

I know about NOAA Approach plates, but the charts I mean are about mid flight planning. For example, ATC changes my plan of all a sudden, tells me to fly to so and so VOR at this heading. I am trying to see hard not to use GPS that I am willing to buy the charts so it can tell me how far the VOR is or-and the freq.

Charts do say that right? Also, I am talking about paper. The charts are for each center only. Miami, Jacksonville, Atlanta, etc. I want to get Miami and Jax. Thanks

I'm very surprised that NOBODY hasn't mentioned www.navdata.at

That's the mekka for pilots looking for charts of every kind, approaches, departures, taxiways, parking etc  Smiley
Also contains lots of flightplans

It's as well the best (and only? )place to get the latest AIRAC and SID/STARs for every airport, so basicly you don't need to jot down what VATSIM controlers say, because you have the directions right infront of ya Wink

I'll check that one out too.  I did look at fltplan.com, but I thought their charts were too big, and I want to be able to print them.

However, I'm at work, and not able to get a real good look at most stuff til I get home, so maybe that's why I was disappointed.

Next I'm heading to navdata.at

We'll see what they've got to show off....lol

Or, just head down to your local FBO and ask if they have any out dated charts they don't want. I did, and I got a whole armload 8)

WHERE in the big Miami Airport is the FBO? I have never seen an FBO. Or should I go to Opa Locka?

Signature Miami, is the only FBO at MIA. I don't think they have charts though. If  you want to try them, they're  located on the North Side of the airport, just off of 36th by the Miami Subs. Opa Locka or Tamiami would be your better bets, they tend to be a little more GA friendly. Or if you feel like a little longer drive, go to Banyan Parts Mart on the South side of Ft. Laud. Exec airport. They will have ANY chart you want.  Smiley
