Right, I was flying to Reina Sofia(South Tenerife), as im going there on Holiday on sunday, thought it'd be fun.
Anyway, I decided to do it in s 747-400, knowing full wll it wasn't going to be the worlds biggest runway.
So I approach the airport, get all the info i need for Autopilot and am looking really good inline with the plane, which i've not prevously done in the 747. I fly over the beginning of the runway, throttle down etc. and hit the ground, only to bounce about 5 times....I looked at the replay and saw the wheels came down seconds before i landed...i must have accidently pressed G.

Okay, let me get this straight:
You're angry that the wheels DID come down? ???
Aren't you supposed to land with those there, anyway?

The first time I did a "succesful" landing in a 747 I completely forgot about the gear. I got her down and only discovered my mistake when I couldn't taxi at full throttle. LMAO

Not sure how many simmers will get this, but I'm sure some real world pilots will get a chuckle. (Or not.)
What was that movie with Tom Hanks and he ran all over, and he told Jenny he had to pee?

The first time I got a 747 down I ran off the other end of the runway as I was so happy not to have crashed I forgot the brakes

By the way Matt.....I LOVED your passenger shot...ROFL
Although it was slightly inaccurate....you just know that somewhere there was some passenger who was thinking "Woo Hoo! This is GREAT!"
(I'm usually that guy.)

Me too, although I don't think I'd be very happy doing it in a passenger plane.
I had the good fortune to fly aerobatics with a stunt pilot in the Mudry CAP 10-B (French Connection aerobatics team) when I was 13. He made sure I had a barf bag and kept asking me if I felt OK. I just told him, "Sure, do more do more".

Your not alone here, those gremins have buggered me a few times. I put the gear down, land smooth as babies butt, taxi etc, but when I replay to examine just how great a landing it was
the gears up ???
And also my panel lights might all of a sudden come on?
Oh and what about when the plane wants to loop the loop when I put the "Otto" the A.P. on.
Well at least we got down safe and sound
Happy landings
Phil
