i personally like to fly the memphis area, you have the big bridges over the mightY mississippi in the right places (my god:)) theres the downtown thats quite accurate, and of course my fav arena, the pyramid again in the right place:)
but i do take flights round detroit chicago, and the west coast to

I spend a lot of time in Europe, but I've been spotted fairly regularly in Australia and New Zealand, both coasts of the US, Alaska and Canada.
I rarely fly in Africa or Asia however. Must do something about that.

Just like Fozzer, everyone knows where I like to fly. Don't know what I'll do when I finish the KT scenery as I've become very emotionally attached.

But more than that, because I've got copies of the real charts some of which I included in the IGS system upload, I love to do the instrument procedures.

Here's an example for an instrument circuit and landing onto Rwy 13.

Set Nav1 to 111.9 (IGS system), Nav2 to 112.3 (CH - Cheung Chau VOR) and ADF to 268 (SL - Sha Lo Wan NDB). Aim to fly at something like 230 kts with 1 or 2 notches of flap in say the CX paint of the Meljet 777.

Take off from 13, at 1000 ft start a climbing turn onto 270 deg to intercept 270 to CH (watch your Nav2/ADF readout to confirm). Climb to 4500 ft.

Fly o/head CH and at 7 miles DME from CH your ADF needle is at 90 deg (ie pointing to the right). Tha's waypoint Golf. Commence a turn onto 45 deg.

Intercept the IGS localiser and cut the speed back to around 200 kts with another notch of flap. When established on the glideslope cut the speed back to 180 kts, gear down with full flap.

At the OM (outer marker) cut the autothrottle and take control by hand. At the MM (middle marker) which coincides with the Chequerboard, cut the autopilot for a visual approach to Rwy 13, turning right 47 deg over the stadium for a perfect(!) landing.

A pure test of skill to string it all together properly, especially if you set low weather minima and a nice gusty crosswind with a bit of turbulence.

The whole thing takes about 20/25 minutes from takeoff to touchdown but for me there's nothing else like it in FS.

My PIII 800 struggles a bit withall the add on's I'm sticking in. Time to upgrade I think

When the time comes, though, make sure you ask ATC for West Parking. That's what I've had to call the Aviation Club - and make sure that first time you ask for progressive taxi otherwise you'll probably get lost being an old, bold pilot(!!) and that could be a bit dodgy at one of the busiest airports (was) in the world.

When you get there according to Mark 'Dark Moment' Beaumont, I understand you will be very welcome in the bar. Apparently in real life he spent a lot of his mis-spent youth there.....
