Am thinking of upgrading my graphics card from a g4 mx420 to a g4 4200 8X, my only problem is that my mobo is only a 4X agp.
Im not looking for a serious gamer card here just a bit more to play around with so I dont mind not using all the agp bandwidth if it comes down to that.
So can anyone tell me if a 8X card will work on a 4X board.

Cheers
Alan

No problem. I'm running a GeforceFX 5200 8X on a 4X board with no problems.

I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday. Cool, whats the performance like, because the card can transfer data faster than the agp slot will allow, is there any slow down or any side effects?
