I just give my money to M$ to let them create a better FS every time.lol
This is evidenced by the addition of a few historic planes in CoF. I think I'll wait for a true upgrade before I give them more money. Besides, I've still got issues with 2002 that they haven't addressed.

Actually, I know this will never happen, but I'd like to see the people developing Lo-Mac release a Commercial sim with the same amazing graphics and sound that their combat version has. If it had the realism that F$ has, they'd blow M$ out of the sky!

Well I don't necessarily see F$ leave, but c'mon, if it left due to a better program? I'd be all for that. I don't care who makes my F$, as long as it's the best one available. lol (And the graphics/sound of Lo-Mac gave me chills! lol)

Wow, that's quite a collection. The very first time I ever played F$ was in 7th grade in the middle school computer lab. We had two copies of it, and it was impossible to get your hands on it. (I'll never forget...the big thing for everyone was to try to fly between the towers of the WTC...creepy now.)
So let's see...that would have been in like 1987 or so....what version would that have been? It was played on Apple IIs I believe.
Then I didn't get anything until F$98, and then F$2K2 Pro. So I'll prolly hold out til 2K6.

As I understand it:
FS2002 STD All the default aircraft except the caravan without floats, Mooney Bravo, King Air, But the standard edition hasn't got Gmax and the converting utility.
FS2002 PRO All the default aircarft including the above with Gmax but as far as I know there is no difference in scenery.
I use the standard edition as at the time it was all I could afford. Pleased to hear about FS2004 just having one edition

I'm with you. Actually, I couldn't see spending an extra $30 to get Pro, just to get a few extra planes.
I did some research before I bought anything, and found that GMAX is available as a free download from their web site. And as far as the conversion utility, most planes don't need to be converted, if you stick to the FS2K2, and FS2K aircraft. I'm a "download junkie", and I've yet to find any aircraft that need to be converted so they'll work in 2K2.
So, the scenery question is still really unanswered. Knowing these guys, someone will deliver some hard facts, soon enough.
