I was watching the news and they had a story on a recent Sci-Fi convention. Well after doing a census of the people attending, it appears that a whopping 64% of Toronto's trekkies are actually female. I guessing that SpaceAce is going to make a trip into the city sometime soon.  Grin

I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday. I would have thought that the majority would have been male (particularly in the over 25's bracket).
I actually recall seeing a poll result that reflected that.............

Maybe it depends on WHERE the poll is done. If the majority of 'Convention goers' are female, then the result of the poll will be distorted etc.

I must say, if it is true that there are more female than male trekkies, it would be one of the very rare 'Sci-Fi related' pursuits or interests that isn't dominated by men.

(Maybe it's the 'quality' of the male actors in the serie's)
