Moach. There are several different gauge cleaner utilities designed for this purpose. Check out the FS2002 Utilities sections on this site. Some will archive the unused gauges in a special folder so you can save or delete them. I haven't tried them myself but have seen some reports that at least one of these is a tad buggy. Be careful if you check it out.

Gauges aren't really that much room.
I have 1800 and thats 388mb
402 AC's are 8.1 gb

I've only got about 10 plus the default actually in FS and drop one in as the mood takes. Put one in,take one out! Favourites are always in of course and seconds in the hangar. All the rest are filed by manufacturer and model-total around 200.
