Well after spending several hours looking for arrestorcables on the internet only to find that ArrCab is now owned by Abucus i was very disapointed. However, lucky me, last year i Downloaded ArrCab v1.4 on my old comp thinking it was an aircraft carrier... Roll Eyes So even after i dled it and found what it could do i was so lazy i didnt want to set it up. on the other hand it was because i was lazy i still have it. (now worth about $30) i didnt delet it.... so after finding the little bits and pieces needed to get it to work (3 hours) i had some fun. heres a shot of the F-18 me and G-force have been working on along with our Ju-87. one is to be freeware.

...

and to keep up with the fad Grin

747-400 lined up for the aproach
...

747-400 call the ball... roger ball on glide slope
...

747-400 over the wake preparing to cut power
...

...

747-400 over end marker cutting power
...

747-400 touch down
...

hey nice work. I find the 744 hard to land at an airport and you did it on a carrier Smiley

doesn't the pilot go to full throttle at touchdown just in case they miss the wire and have enough speed to liftoff again?

good angles, nice job  8)

Judging from the pics, the carrier crew seemed to be very scared whe they saw you coming in with a 747.  Grin

RADIO OPERATOR from TOWER: Sir, I am recieving some kind of distress call telling us to clear the deck. All of it.

COMMANDER: Have you identified the aircraft?

RADIO OPERATOR: Yes sir. I just got an ID on the aircraft. It's a.......UH OH!!!! Sir, I really do suggest that we follow what it says.

COMMANDER: Why?

RADIO OPERATOR: Well, it's big, it's coming in fast and we have no time to tell it to abort. (Looks out the window) OH MY GOD!!!!!!!

DECK CREW MEMBER #1: HOLY SHhhh, CLEAR THE DECK. ALL OF IT!!!!!!!!!! MOVE IT, MOVE IT!!!!!!!

(Everyone clears and takes cover)

(Jumbo jet engine sounds getting stronger by the second, real fast)

(HUGE THUD. Aircraft carrier tips at an angle and slightly changes heading due to the force).

COMMANDER: Call the MPs. Now!!

Subject line is deceiving  Cry....I only see one shot of a Hornet landing, and its an old one at that ( Round
Intakes ) .....but as far as getting the 747 on deck...........NICE JOB !  Wink.....although I feel it may be a tad too large to land it in the hangar deck......... Roll Eyes  Grin

Shocked I am left here with my jaw on the floor at this minute, I don't know how you managed landing that monster on the carrier! But I think the cables grab program had a lot to do with the success of that landing!
I would try it but I don't even know where to begin with getting that carrier and arrestor cable progam to work with it. So I stick to landing my helicopters on the Default wack ass looking carriers! Truly exciting landing though! Great work! Definately left the hairs on my back standing just looking at it happening! Shocked

Its only in your mind, strong mind, strong soul and nobody can take that from you!
