I want to be able to download the weather for all of my flight instead of just for my starting location.  Is there any way of doing this, or am i going to have to wait for fs2004?

That's the new feature of fs2004, i don't think you can do that in fs2002

Just download ActiveSky 1.1. The payware version of ActiveSky WxRE is good, but the freeware version constantly updates your weather as you fly. It's pretty great!

In FS02, it does download all the weather (not just the starting point). However, it does not keep it updated constantly.  In FS04, my understanding is it will update itself every fifteen(15) minutes... But of course this will require a constant Internet connection.

I also hear that there will be a transition from area to area, unlike FS2002 where the weather changes suddenly when moving into a new area. Weather systems will apparently move as well.

You can upgrade your weather inflight anytime depending on the nearest reporting station and going through the whole download procedure. Click Alt on the keyboard. Of course you need constant net connection, everything stops and a 30 min. flight takes an hour but what the hey!! Smiley
