Think I just went on holiday and didn't tell everyone I was going to be gone...LOL...sorry.
Well I'm back now...no need to worry, I'm going to be working on new textures for the CFS3 Hurricane. BTW, anyone who's interested in what life was like in the RAF for pilots during WW2 (the real way it was, becasue they didn't see themselves as heroes), should get a copy of 'Piece of Cake' by Derek Robinson. Great read...
There's the classic line when the adjudant is reading out Churchill's famous speech to the pilots (who couldn't care less what the PM had to say about them):
" 'Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few' Cattermole opened one of his eyes, 'Someone must have told him about our back pay' "
Brilliant book. A bit hard to read, but I like them that way...
Also, get the new Harry Potter, great series of books by a Scot.

Hi Whitey. Hope you had a good holiday.

I think you mean back pay. LOL
"Piece of Cake" is unusual in that it was originally a TV doc-drama & the book was written afterwards. I seem to remember some of the language was not authentic to the period. For a good idea of what it was really like I can recommend an excellent book I've just finished, recently published in paperback. It's entitled First Light by Geoffrey Wellum.

G'Day Whitey. Welcome back (I'm pretending I noticed you missing........
)
Thanks for the tip about the two books boys. I've been looking to get my reading going again. maybe one of them would be a good start. But knowing that it takes everything an extra 6 months to get to us, I might haVe to wait.........

Hi Whitey, good to see you. Hope you are all tanned and happy to be home. I'm still fiddling with the Hurri's dynamics. I've been doing loads of research (ouch my head).

LOL Woody...I would've finished it too, but I've been spending a lot of time asleep to recover from jet lag. I'm on Chapter 16, though.
Ozzy, I don't too well...something to do with the red hair and freckles I'm told.
I was in Florida...lovely weather most of the time, but when it rained, it rained like I've never seen it do in October when I've been before...and I've been there during hurricanes!
Woody, glad you didn't spoil the ending for everyone.
Gimee two minutes and I'll put a couple of shots of my Hurricane textures...no weathering, yet...I went on holiday a couple of days after this was released, remember. We finsih for the summer on Friday, so I'll have all my time to work on it and other repaints I want to do.

I've also changed all the part names into English from French, so now you actually what's been hit if you're like me and don't know a word of French!
Pretty simple why we went when we did actually...only time we could a flight from the local International Airport...LOL.

Looking good Whitey.
Here's a shot of the one i'm working on at the moment...
Whadaya think? Recognise the markings too?
It shall be uploaded after I have sorted out some minor problems mostly involving it being recognised by CFS3...
