Congratulations Blade you are making a wise choice the Air Force is a great way of life.  I've been in the Air Force for almost a year now and its been one of the best years of my life.  You are going to meet some people in the military that are going to be flat out asses but don't let that get you down because there's always ten nice people for every ass hole, there will always be someone there to help yeah when you really need it in the Air Force were like a big family.  Hears the only three things you need to know about BMT at Lackland.
1.) Don't speak in less asked a question by a “TI”  an then you answer back with “Sir trainee (so in so) reports as ordered” YES sir, NO sir, YES mama, NO mama...
2.)  “Don't drawl attention to your self” by doing something dumb like leavening water in your canteen at night wile you are sleeping because someone will give you a free bath with some really cold water wile your sleeping.
3.)  Eat soft foods in the chow hall because your not going to get very long to eat (5min if your lucky).

Hears some bad news for yeah we do exercise a lot in basis so start doing push ups now and start going out running two miles every day  they want to know how far they can push you before you brake an believe me you  an your body can put up with a lot of shit.  My flight did 800 push ups one day because the “TI” was trying to get the point across that he was going to be our O mighty God for the next six weeks of our life.  BMT isn't hard so keep your chin up and an just let the BS go in one ear an out the other.

As for jobs sine up for one at MEPS or you will get the jobs that no one else wanted if you go in open general.  Get everything in writing an ask as many questions as you can when you go meet with the job counselor at MEPS ask about bones an what's the wash out rate of the Tec school an how long it is.  I went to Tec school in Pensacola, FL an had a blast it was great but you cant play around an not study the Air Force is known for having the smartest military members an there's a reason for that, our jobs are so high Tec that is not even funny.  My job is Aircraft Structural Maintenance an I have so much responsibility word cant even describe it, I am what makes that aircraft fly with out me the aircraft are paper weights.  I live in the dorms on base so if you want I can take a pic of my room so you can see what one of the dorm rooms look like, an yes the air force does have a higher livening standard than the rest of the military meaning we got nice rooms an every thing else.  If you have any questions fell free to ask me I wont feed you any BS I know everything your going to need to know to make it throe Basic.  P.S. I build aircraft I SUCK AT SPELLING!!!!!!

Pilots in the USAF are in a class of there own.  There not like the every day officers.  You need a four year degree from a college  to become a pilot its as hard as that... Grin  Sucks A? An yes you do hafe to take a test to fly an for a hole lot of uther BS...  I have the MGIB so after four years if I want to get out I can go to college an all most everything is payed for, but im takeing college classes right now for free thanks to the AF...

Pipeline?  This is how it works BMT you will live in open bays, then at tec school well most of them will be dormitorys not open bays where you will share a room with 2 or three people with a bathroom that is connected with the room next to it, when you get to your 1st base if your not marred you will move into the dorms on base(that is what my pic's are of) if you are really lucky you can get a room with your own bathroom like me Grin or as a even better plus your own bathroom with a really big room( I have a small room but its bigger than a dorm room at any college)...  Enjoy this is half of what the AF is known for...

I bleave you will have about 30 classes they were revising all the classes wile I was there, you will be given a book called a "Basic Military Training Manual ll or lll) it will go over things like the uniform code of military justice, Dress an appearance, STD's, human relations an so on.
The 1st week suck ass because you dont really know whats going on yet but after that you start picking up really fast on how to play the game.  Learn your ranks an E grades now because we have this thing called "memory work" an if you dont know it your going to get yelled at. your going to take a PC E-Vale your 1st week to see where you need work(like push ups, sit ups, 2 mile run( I was told they were trying to make the time 15min you had to be done in).
Your 1st four weeks is all most all class room work, your forth week you take a test over everything you have learned in your classes ( its not hard so dont work your self up about it) an you will also take your last PC E-Vale (your two mile run, sit ups, push ups, this is the one that counts you want to run your ass off) your 5th week is the most fun "Warrior Week" your plastic M-16 thats right plastic M-16 will become the biggest pane in your ass you ever had.  Every ware you go you M-16 goes. in your fifth week you learn everything that will save your life you learn about how to work a gasmask how to hold off an enemy force thats trying to take controle of your camp an so on, theres to much to write.
6th week is prety layed back your mostly doing out processing so you really dont have to much to wore about.  All in all BMT is not that bad I had to try really hard not to laugh at the "TI's" most of the time because most of the things they said was funny as hell......  Oh yeah an if your recruiter didnt tell you this we have this little thing called being recycled which means you can be in your 6th week of BMT and get knocked all the way back to your 1st week an do all the BS over again most recruiters leave this part out, it all comes down to how bad you want to graduate BMT if you do everything by the book an when they tell you to you wont have any prob's at all there going to keep on telling you that the fastest way out of Lackland is to graduate an there right.  Just to let yeah know you spend more time in BMT folding clothes an working on makeing your wall locker look nice that its not funny about 85% of the time not funny!!!! Grin
