Here is the exact problem I have: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;177252

I am running on Windows XP, and I have done everything on that page except for reinstall Audio Codecs... which I would do, but it doesn't give directions for doing that on XP.

Can anyone help me with this problem? I am extremely interested in being a pilot and I would love to be able to go through the Flight School, but I can't even hear the instructor talking... please help if you can.

Yeah, I said in my post that I have done everything except reinstall the Audio Codecs... which I can't because it doesn't have directions for doing it in WinXP.

maybe it'd just be easier to reinstall the sim alltogether......i had this problem with atc, and that solved it for me
