Anybody watch headline news or heard about the riots in Benton Harbor Michigan?
  This is all taking place only 20 miles west of where I live. As a matter of fact, we do a lot of our shopping in Benton Harbor.
 
  Apparently some idiot was racing his rice rocket at over 100 MPH running stop lights and such, so gee, wouldn't you expect the cops to chase you?
Well the guy ends up crashing into the side of a house and dies, now the citizens are pissed, trying to blame it on the police, saying there shouldn't be any high speed chases.
  Hmm, no high speed chases, that means if you're a criminal all you have to do is drive real fast and you'll get away free every time because the cops won't be allowed to pursue you. They say this would protect citizens, seems to me it just protects criminals even further.
Already it seems criminals have more rights than victims.

  I guess this has been going on for two nights now, I have programmed my police scanner with all the appropriate frequencys, they are supposed to start enforcing a ten o'clock curfew tonight, this ought to be interesting!

i'm sorry but thats gotta be the dumbest thing i have ever heard, no high speed chases, once again its people trying to pass on the blame to someone else when someone they know is affected. i seriously hope this gets sorted quickly in favor of the cops.

 If you watch CNN Headline news, it's one of the top stories today, I don't know if they are reporting it on other networks, seems like they are making quite a big deal of it.
 I guess a couple hundred people throwing bricks and bottles at police and burning houses while residents are still inside is supposed to be sending a message.
 I say bring in the national guard if they start up again tonight and shoot them with those rubber bullets and beanbag guns.
 Benton Harbor is a fairly high crime area as it is, so basically you have criminals trying to defend criminals.
 I'm not prejudice against any race, but BH is predominately an african-american population, and so is the government and police force of that city, so they are pretty confused at this point about the whole situation.
It's not like a white cop beat a black guy to death, the guy on the motorcycle chose his own destiny, he should have stopped and faced the consequences of his actions.
I'm not going to say he shouldn't have been out racing his bike, most all of us have broke the law at some point, but if and when you get caught, you have to play the game.
 So the citizens of BH are rioting against their own people, because one guy didn't want to play by the rules and face responsibility for losing the game, strange situation.
 
 I'm pretty sure that since there will be a curfew tonight these idiots will be anxious to break it, if so, hopefully I will hear some cool action on my scanner.

Its unbelievable. If the police didn't do their job and just let the criminals get on with it these boneheads would be screaming too!!!
I can't believe how dumb some people are, I've got both friends and family in The Force in Blighty, and I admire them v.much, I couldn't do their job.
