Hi,
What purpose do the flashing red beacons serve which appear around airfields. Can you line up on these somehow for landing?

There must be some pretty tall stuff out there as I seem to remember being at 1500' and looking sideways at them. Smiley
Anyone got any info on there local area to confirm some of these tower heights?
Cheers

They appear to be radio masts. I just wondered if they had anything to do with the nearest airport. But as you say they could just be showing high structures.  Thanks!!
