Its 1 AM here, just about to hit the sack, watching a DVD on my PC, when I hear this VERY loud engine noise. I go to my window thinking its a jet going into BWI but its WAY to loud for that. I look up and I see this HUGE aircraft. Its a C-5B Galaxy for sure, by the engine noise and direction, he's heading for Andrew's AFB. But its WAY to low, it sounded like he was at full thrust so I guess he made a mistake coming in to low. It woke up the entire house lol, just had my brother come in and ask what the hell was that, haha  Grin

Once you hear a C-5 with those CFM-56 High bypass engines go by, you never forget it

Back in my days working for an airline, I was working out on the ramp one day with my friend Vinnie.  Off to our left, just above the horizon, we saw a dot.  This dot got bigger and bigger and bigger.  We looked at each other and said "He's not lined up right."  Sure enough, he was far right of the runway.

We later found out that this was intentional.  A C-5 flew directly over us, just about 100 ft off the deck, and "flashed" his belly to the tower, then continued on his way.

It was beautiful.

"Goose, it's time to buzz the tower."

No, Orville. You went last time.&&&&&&(P4 2.0Ghz, 640mb RAM, 40GB HD, 17-inch monitor, stock speakers w/ sub)
