Called Beat This! 1st subject: my bad luck see if you can beat it (I'm sure someone can).
Bad luck: 1st I lose a wallet containing 25$ second I find the wallet but is is empty. Third I loose an antique CB radio worth 375$ to front-end overload reducing it's value to 10$. Fourth I get a virus on my pc and have to start from square one again (I lost 50 FS aircraft the rest were backed up). And 5th the worst of all: my 300$ 10,000RPM SCSI hard drive dies... I loose every file on it and the cause is a power surge that slipped through my APU so I loose my 200$ PS and 179$ Graphics card.
Can you beat it?
AMD Athlon 64 3700+&&GeForce FX5200 256Mb&&1GB DDR400 DC&&Seagate 500Gb SATA-300 HDD&&Windows XP Professional X64 Edition
&&&&That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they kicked the pants off of my P4 3.4!

From another post yesterday...
Quote:
Its kinda hard to keep a cool head when you go to college and get told to re-write 3 assingments in a weekend when you still have 5 to get in before July, Stress of exams, more college crap, work, Having you car speakers explode infront of you, wearing break pads to a knub because some arse-hole cant understand what a red light is (or having a learner not know what a green light is) and neighbours playing clubing music till 4 in the morning*.
Not as good, but now the belt on my car is slipping and makes it sound 10 yrs older, and its overheating!

I'll do my best.....
I was born with Bilateral Carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands. Because of this, I can't feel as well as other people, my hands are small (Of course, that might have to do with myself being short) and don't look 'normal', and exposure to cold tempretures causes pain in my hands. Furthermore, doing exercises like push-ups hurts my wrist too much.
When I was young, I fell off of something and hurt my side. X-rays indicated nothing was broken but I was told that several ribs were badly bruised. Now 12 years later, I still cannot run or jog but a few minutes without getting extreme pain in my side.
And finally, I have extrimely sensative eyes, so I have to wear sunglasses all the time. I also cannot swim because it's unbearable to get water in my eyes.
Try to beat that

I have carpal tunnel as well in one hand worse than the other I can not do push ups either (thats GOOD luck) I have a severe knee problem and cannot run for to long or I will collapse. My eyes are very sensitive and I can read in the middle of the night without a light on but I can not stand going outside without sun glasses (It causes pain and headaches) I am also color-blind and cannot sleep in temperatures over 78 degrees (farenheight).
now beat me...

i dont know how you consider getting out of push ups a good thing, if i had that problem i would long to do push ups, it kills me not to be able to when my neck plays up.
i have never heard of not being able to sleep in temps above 78 degrees though, i know its uncomfortable but whoa. i know the knee problems are bad, with torn mcl and acl in the past i can say your unlucky. the best i can come up with to add to mine is i cant sleep for more than 90 minutes as my brain shuts down and forgets to tell me to breath so i wake up more times than i like in the middle of the night

Well lets see what I can do......High blood pressure I take two meds for, restless leg syndrome (sleep disorder) two meds for that, moderate to severe depression, one med. SOSA (severe obstructive sleep apnea). For that I have to use a machine (CPAP) while in bed to keep my airway open, and finaily a 34y old sister that was younger than me passing away this year.
y2cragie, I would see a doctor about that sleep apnea you have. I had a sleep study done and I stopped breathing 147 time within a 6 hour sleep session

I wish everyday I could run and do things like push-ups.
These conditions are also keeping my out of the military.
Oh how I wish.....

Funny how the military works...
I now have many of the same symptoms as Andrew...but they developed in the military. Occupational hazards.
Seems that they only want you to have them if they can issue it to you!
My symptoms have slightly different causes though...
Cold sensitivity/reduced feeling in hands through over exposure to heat/cold when working on a flight line.
Sensitive eyes from not being able to wear sunglasses even when near 100% glare conditions existed.
Got the rib damage in a similar way though.
Also have a deaf spot in my hearing...one narrow frequency band that I just don't hear. Unfortunately many women's voices are centered on this band...I have to concentrate to hear them. This was caused by jet engines...and having them around 24/7.
Both knees are damaged from repetitive stress injuries.
Left shoulder has osteo-arthritis from doing repairs in confined spaces.
But at least I've still got my health.
Yes, before anyone asks...I do get a medical pension for my various infirmities.
