I've been downloading some of the 1% planes from http://www.avhistory.org and for the most part I must say that they are incredible!  The Warhawk and the Corsair particularly stand out as awesome planes.

However, the AD-4 Skyraider and the Corsair both show up under Britain in the select menu.  I have tried digging through the .cfg and the .air files but either missed it or that is not the answer.  Does anyone know how to change this?  Thanks in advance!

You shure are male and don´t read instructions. Grin
You need the country expansion pack to let the birds show up as US navy.
I think it should be up right here at Simviation.

I have that program and use it, but there are several reasons why this is not desirable.

First, I have no problems with aftermarket programs, but I prefer to keep my Flight Sims as free of add-ons as possible.  I am not detracting from the usefullnes or the great work, but less files means a neater hard drive.  It's that simple.

I also would prefer to be able to pick and choose where my aircraft go.  I would rather have just a 'US' section than another section for 'USN'

Last, many times add-on aircraft are named according to the whims of the designer.  Again, I do not wish to detract from the great work that has been done, but I would rather be able to customize the names of the aircraft.  I would rather have P-51 Mustang (XXX squadron...) rather than 3US_P-51_XXX Whatever.

So, I want to be able to have it my way, just like Burger King... Tongue 8) Roll Eyes

Ah ok, understood.
In that case open the xdp and modify the first line to your liking, the part that sais "shortname" and "allegiance", change the ladder to either "Germany", "Britain" or "USA".
Delete the bdp when done.
