That's an excellent system with plenty of grunt and a powerful video card...you should have LOTS of problems getting CFS3 to run on it  Undecided

I`ll try to upgrade it into 256 ram in the future and then
I`ll upgrade the vid card to Radoen 7000 if i have the money.

Forget 256MB mate, 512MB (or better if you have XP!) is the only way to go with CFS3

As for the Ati Card, aim for one that starts with a "9" Wink

When I had 256MB, CFS 3 ran barely smooth enough to play.
Now that I have 512MB, (DDR 2700), CFS3 is very much improved. Shocked
All I need to do now is ditch my MX440 and I'll be really seeing the eye candy!  Roll Eyes

I understand your problem........

Alas, CFS3 is pretty much "State of the Art" (don't laugh guys Wink ) and thus will only run to its true optimum on relatively modern machines.

256 MB of RAM seems fine for 95% of my games I play. - Anybody using 128MB would see a big improvement by upping to 256MB at least.
Notable exceptions to this rule I've noticed since I upgraded to 512MB are

Battlefield 1942 (Plays like a different game, much much improved)

FS2002 - Runs like CFS2 on my machine now, i.e. fast! Cheesy

Command & Conquer Generals - Game "flows" better it seems.

Medal of Honor (Including Spearhead) - Now runs fine, max settings, 1280x1024 !  8)

I assume when I replace the GF4 MX things will improve yet again!

Comments anybody?

I just can't run any game or sim under 1280X1024X32. I need the eye candy. If it doesn't look good to me I just don't enjoy flying or playing it.

800X600 isn't even in my simming vocabulary.

But whatever floats your canoe or flies your combat aircraft.

Back in the mid 90's, 800X600 was state of the art but I've become spoiled over time.

Have a good flight all.
