Well she arrived at Long Island's Republic Airport yesterday morning and touched down at 7:35 am. Her maiden 2 hour flight went perfect. Here she is as she pulls up to her parking gate.

...

A close-up of the side fusalage shows the detail and absolute perfection of the restoration!

...

After a weekend of many spectators, she takes off from Republic Airport to her next destination. The Southern shore of Long Island provides a serene back drop.

...

I also found some other pictures from "Grandpa Fly's" collection. These are from when he was in the war. Sorry for the quality, they are Very Old!  Wink

...

He took this at the end of the airfield as the Bombers would be returning from their runs.

...

This was his favorite spot, amongst the trees at the end of the air field. Some of these planes would return very badly damaged. He would always count them as they left for their destination, and was often saddened by the number of their returns.

...

Hope you enjoyed!

Thanks Ken. Yes, All of a sudden a have a ton of stuff happening at once. The construction will be on going most likley till the end of the year. (not that it has stopped me from flying). The reason for the absence is after all the work with Ramsa, we decided I really needed more RAM, so I just installed alot more and in the process, wound up installing Windows XP. Right now I am just trying to re-customize everything back to the beginning..folders, shortcuts..etc...
Then once that is done, I need to re-tweak with him, then I will be back. You see, with summer here, I am now working on the house later into the evening, then by the time I sit down when I usually would fly and edit, it is around 10pm and  I am putting the PC back together!
Thanks for noticing I was "hangin low".....
Look foward to posting again soon!

PS.. Don't temp with the lighting effects... I was trying to keep my "mouse" from clicking on that effect!! LOL  Wink
